Hyphos
Somewhere on the outskirts of a city, beneath a concrete slab poured long ago and worn down by wheels and rain, lies a very particular crack. It is so narrow that it remains invisible to hurried passers-by.
Deep within this interstice stretches a nebula called Hyphos. Astonishing creatures, the Hyphoceae, germinate there inside vast cocoons. They were born from spores placed there by a benevolent hand.
Barely hatched, the Hyphoceae are still fragile. They set out in search of a milky dust that they absorb to survive and grow. Their only goal: to become strong enough to complete their metamorphosis and one day reach the surface.
Above, beneath the sunlight, lies the human skin they covet. They come to settle delicately upon it. The Hyphoceae capture light and protect the body with which they enter into symbiosis. Over time, this connection deepens. Even in the harshest conditions, their loyalty remains unwavering.
